Jasmin Durham’s journey comes full circle at Lisa Clark Dance Centre. After beginning her training here at the age of three, Jasmin transitioned to The Australian Ballet School, eventually joining The Australian Ballet in 2012. Throughout her distinguished 12-year tenure with the national company, she rose to the rank of Coryphée, establishing herself as a versatile and evocative performer on the world stage.
Jasmin’s professional career is defined by a vast and prestigious repertoire. From the commanding presence of the Queen of the Wilis in Giselle to the character-driven role of the Stepmother in Cinderella, as well as numerous roles in the corps de ballet and as a soloist. Jasmin has worked alongside industry icons such as Jiří Kylián, Twyla Tharp, and William Forsythe. Her artistry also extends to the musical theatre stage, with notable performances in Christopher Wheeldon’s An American in Paris and as Louise in Carousel.
As a member of the Director Team, Jasmin brings invaluable industry insight to students across both recreational and vocational pathways. Her teaching approach bridges the gap between the studio and the professional stage, emphasising strong technical foundations, efficient movement, and sustainable training habits. She offers a unique mentorship that balances high expectations with a calm authority, ensuring students feel prepared and resilient as they navigate their dance education.
With certifications in RAD Teaching, Rambert Contemporary, and Reformer Pilates, Jasmin is a fierce advocate for safe dance practice. She is deeply committed to injury prevention and student wellbeing, integrating conditioning and alignment to support the physical and mental health of every dancer. Her focus is on longevity, helping students build the discipline and confidence required to thrive in a modern dance environment.

Fun Fact: Jasmin was a two-time nominee for the prestigious Telstra Ballet Dancer Award (2015 and 2020) during her time with The Australian Ballet. She loves to op-shop.
