Head of Preschool
Qualifications: Diploma of Elite Performance (Dance), ARAD, Bachelor or Occupational Therapy (2nd year)
Natalie began her dance training at Lisa Clark Dance Centre, where she trained from 2010 to 2020 before continuing her full-time studies at the Queensland College of Dance from 2021 to 2024. During this time she had the opportunity to train under a number of highly respected professionals, including Daniel Gaudiello, Lana Jones, Teagan Lowe, Wim Broeckx and Karen Donovan, further refining her classical and contemporary technique in a pre-professional environment.
Her formal training includes completing Royal Academy of Dance examinations from Pre-Primary through to Advanced 2, achieving High Distinction results, as well as COMDANCE examinations from Grade 5 to Grade 9. Natalie also holds a Diploma of Elite Performance (Dance) and is currently studying Occupational Therapy, bringing an added appreciation for safe movement, physical development and body awareness into her work.
As a performer, Natalie has experienced high-level creative opportunities, including being choreographed on by renowned Australian choreographer Graeme Murphy, with rights granted to perform Sequenza I for Flute. Among her notable performance highlights is performing the Black Swan pas de deux, a demanding classical repertoire work that reflects her strong technical training.
Natalie is now in her second year of teaching and has taught at both Lisa Clark Dance Centre and DreamDanz, working with a range of age groups and styles. Her teaching focuses particularly on preschool dance, ballet, jazz technique and lyrical, where she enjoys helping students develop both confidence and strong technical foundations.
Drawing on both her dance training and her studies in Occupational Therapy, Natalie has also designed LCDC’s preschool dance program, thoughtfully integrating principles of early childhood physical development with the creativity and musicality of dance. The program supports young dancers as they develop coordination, balance, spatial awareness and motor skills, ensuring students progress safely through important developmental stages while building a love for movement.
An alumna of Lisa Clark Dance Centre, Natalie has a deep connection to the studio community and understands firsthand the culture of dedication, respect and joy that underpins the school.
Her teaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive and encouraging classroom environment, where students feel safe to try new things, challenge themselves and grow not only as dancers, but as people. Natalie believes that confidence and resilience developed in the studio carry far beyond dance training.
Fun fact: Natalie loves musicals and singing.
