About Performance Group

LCDC is proud to offer a Performance Group for select students from Grade 3 Ballet and up, to provide them with performance opportunities across competitions, galas and other events.

The LCDC Performance Groups are designed to give selected students a wider dance experience. The students also benefit from guest teachers on occasion and we hope to offer the students a range of workshops including stage make-up, stagecraft and other forms of dance and performance. Students are invited to become a member of the Performance Groups based on their current level of competency, and on their potential. Working in these classes is designed to extend the students and to help them reach their potential.

Our Performance Groups are divided into three levels: Junior, Intermediate and Senior. These classes are primarily divided by age to fit in with the most common age groups for entering into competitions and other performances. Performance Groups may on occasion be combined or separated into smaller groups depending on ages, choreography requirements etc. Some students may be invited to perform alongside the other groups where required.

Places in our Performance Groups are by invitation only, and students are expected to demonstrate a very high standard of work, commitment and behaviour at all times.

See what our parents have to say

Brilliant teachers who are knowledgeable about their craft as well as being sensitive to children’s needs. Also a very well organised dance school with excellent communication to parents.

My daughter has been attending since she was 3 years old and is now about to turn 8. It is a fantastic school with just the right balance of making it super fun for the kids, but teaching discipline, respect and deportment. My daughter and I have both made great friends here and it is a wonderful community. I highly recommend this school!
