Musical Theatre

Does your child love to sing, dance and act? Musical Theatre combines all three!

About Musical Theatre

From students in Grade 3 (Year 4 equivalent) onwards, students being learning our custom curriculum that dedicates itself to the exploration of theatre, combining all their performing passions into one place.

Musical theatre classes include what we call ‘theatre sports’ which are exercises, activities and games that encourage students to interact with their peers and work as a team whilst incorporating dance, music and acting. The focus of these ‘theatre sports’ is to educate students on the practical use of many skills in a performance environment (such as improvisation).

As the students work through the levels in our Musical Theatre classes, the classes evolve into a more structured class with a focus on students mastering the ability to audition and perform. Classes at these higher levels also include vocal lessons, vocal health, ensemble work, harmony, aural skills, antecedents of theatre, theatrical practitioners, performance masterclasses and most importantly, personal growth and confidence through performance and fun!

Brilliant teachers who are knowledgeable about their craft as well as being sensitive to children’s needs. Also a very well organised dance school with excellent communication to parents.

My daughter has been attending since she was 3 years old and is now about to turn 8. It is a fantastic school with just the right balance of making it super fun for the kids, but teaching discipline, respect and deportment. My daughter and I have both made great friends here and it is a wonderful community. I highly recommend this school!
